Vintage Black Silk Satin Evening Gown 1930s
Beautiful, classy black silk satin vintage evening gown from the 1930's- a perfect period cocktail party gown!
The bodice is sleeveless with slightly capped sleeves; there are two flat pleats that come from the shoulder to give room for the bust. The skirt is a long column style, with one small slit at the side.
It closes at the side with hooks and eyes, and snaps. The loveliest part is the draped and shaped waistband, which then ends in a longer side hanging sash.
It is not lined, and there is no label but it was part of an estate collection of items where almost every piece was designer, and this looks to be very well made. It is rare to find a dress from this era in perfect condition!
